Heart of Georgia 1740 accelerates away from the paper mill west of Cordele on its way to Americus with the Cordele Turn.

With all the passengers onboard and their 9:00am departure time met, this morning’s Watermelon Express is underway as it crosses over the interlocking with NS just west of the depot.

The SAM Shortline excursion is on its way back to the Veterans Park for the day after taking passengers to Plains, Georgia. He was cruising at a good clip which and overall is very nice ride.
